We all live on this amazing planet
\nWith oceans that present
\nSeventy one per cent of what we have here
\nAnd we have spent
\nA lot of man years ruining
\nThe land mass and the sky
\nAnd ruining the oceans too
\nNo word of a lie<\/p>\n
The hydrosphere is wondrous
\n5 Mighty Oceans roll
\nThe Pacific and the Atlantic
\nAnd the Indian the soul
\nThe Southern and the Arctic
\nsome seventy one per cent
\nOf what we have upon this globe
\nOf ours, and our intent<\/p>\n
Is apparently to ruin
\nBy our very size
\nFeed our people on its fish
\nBut fail to realise
\nSome countries they are landlocked
\nAnd others serve and sell
\nBut the criminals are in the pot
\nAnd serve themselves as well<\/p>\n
North Korea is one such place
\nIts rust buckets are found
\nAround the coasts of Russia and Japan
\nClearly are bound
\nFor poaching every species
\nWith illegality
\na ramshackle
\nGhost armada
\nAnd drift nets floating free<\/p>\n
Causing massive problems
\nTo divers and to those
\nSpecies that come anywhere
\nNear them for they pose
\nDangers in so many ways
\nContravening any law
\nA deathtrap for all comers
\nThat no one dare ignore<\/p>\n
They are running on mendacity
\nFaking every hour
\nBeguiling and defiling
\nOrchestrating their own power
\nThe Russian Middle East
\nAnd in other oceans too
\nWe see illegal fishing
\nPiggy backing ships on view<\/p>\n
Using satellite imaging
\nAnyone can see
\nWhat the Koreans are doing
\nIts plunder terribly
\nPoaching other countries resource
\nAnd most of all
\nSelling it to China
\nYes across the wall<\/p>\n
Most you see unwilling
\nTo follow all the rules
\nEveryone is cheating
\nTaking us for
\nfools
\nBy different degrees they are at it
\nAnd of course the poor
\nThe Indigenous are suffering
\nAnd the oceans more and more<\/p>\n
The disabled fishing gear
\nIs just thrown into the sea
\nThe rotten nets and netting
\nKilling yes they be
\nCatching so many creatures
\nWho miserably die
\nWe rape and pillage everything
\nAnd thats the reason why<\/p>\n
Wickedness and iniquity
\nThe order of each day
\nDirty tricks and outrage
\nAnd all of us now pay
\nIt really is distressing
\nFor creatures big and small
\nAnd All things bright and beautiful
\nThe Lord god made them all<\/p>\n
We might have sung at Sunday School
\nThe rafters might have heard
\nThe choral soundings echoing
\nAnd every tiny bird
\nTweeting in the high trees
\nInto a raging sky
\nBut we sit back and watch it all
\nAs gods own souls now die<\/p>\n
Polluted with our plastic
\nWith our nylon with our paint
\nAll these hooks such weaponry
\nIt leaves me feeling faint
\nIts insidious how injurious
\nAnd so few seem to care
\nFisherman just throw it overboard
\nSo unaware<\/p>\n
And everyone is suffering
\nAnd if this goes on some more
\nThe hundreds and hundreds of species
\nFeel the extent of war
\n230,000 in all live down below
\nTrying to hold it together
\nTo live and still hopefully grow
\nBut its getting ever difficult
\nWe fail to see the light
\nWe are all out for each other
\nAnd the future is less than bright<\/p>\n
And everyones a victim
\nThe sea is crimson red
\nWhere our eyes cant reach my friends
\nSo many souls lie dead
\nScreaming streaming blood and guts
\nHanging on harpoons
\nRiddled with our plastic
\nWe can now thanks all the goons<\/p>\n
Science paid by corporates
\nWho willingly sell their soul
\nObnoxiousness and rottenness
\nDisrupts and does control
\nWhat is cringeworthy to see
\nThe villainous the lamentable
