\nHer life was charged and
\nVibrant
\nHer love festooned
\nWith dreams
\nAt the Landmark she was bored
\nTo death
\nAnd could hear those inner screams
\nPlagued with high emotion
\nShe resonated high
\nAnd her candy man came by that day
\nHe would surely leave her high
\nShe depended on his good

\nShe had been clean a while
\nBut he gave her uncut heroin
\nWhich she couldn\u2019t reconcile
\nThe differences
\nHer new love one John Cooke
\nShe was hopeful she\u2019d get married
\nBut finally felt that hook

\nAnd she died in 1970
\nHer genius did rule
