The flush of the sunset
\nFoxman his coat
\nA ruddy bloom
\nA scarlet note
\nStanding out in the forest
\nRed ochre red lead
\nA rouge painted hero
\nWhose appearance just led
\nHis showy veneer
\nPyrotechnics
\nHis energy you could feel
\nWhen he went out to play
\nJust any day
\nEverything about him was real<\/p>\n
He cut a wonderful shadow
\nIn moonlight a Wondrous display
\nFor me a young vixen
\nTo couple with him
\nIt really gave life a new way
\nForward the forest the masses of trees
\nThe litter the fungi
\nAll of it it did please
\nWhen the cubs came along
\nThey were obviously proud
\nOf their dad quite a man
\nYou could see in a crowd
\nWell defined features
\nAnd crystal clear eyes
\nA glaring stare
\nAnd a wonderful size<\/p>\n
Foxes are cunning
\nSo humans say
\nBut Red by comparison
\nHe found a way
\nHis rationality
\nIt was all there
\nAnd as for a Rabbit
\nHe was well aware
\nAnd quite the scholar
\nIn so many ways
\nHe loved the cubs
\nIt wasnt a phase
\nHe took Them out learning
\nThe ropes how to be
\nSuccessful at hunting
\nAnd they\u2019d have to See<\/p>\n
A wild inventiveness
\nHe was the one
\nQuickly asleep
\nWhen the day was done
\nAn early bird riser
\nReady to go
\nReady to hunt
\nWith his true crimson glow
\nAnd tasting the air
\nAnd hearing the notes
\nThe yelping of hounds
\nThose collective throats
\nbarking their heads off
\nWhen they were in cry
\nKnowing to run and to look to the sky<\/p>\n
Take them away from the earth
\nMake them chase
\nJust be creative
\nAnd raise the pace
\nGet them through tangles
\nDouble back make
\nThem think in a wink
