Just Going out
\nTo bag me a rabbit
\nSo don\u2019t be too long
\nDon\u2019t make it a habit
\nOut in the dark woods
\nThe charred sombre gloom
\nThrough the great mass of leaves
\nDown the long path to doom<\/p>\n
Over the stile
\nAnd into the field
\nWhere the puffballs grow bigger
\nAnd there concealed
\nIn the undergrowth
\nMany warrens we see
\nAnd hopefully
\nI\u2019ll bag a young one for tea<\/p>\n
But as luck would have it
\nI took the wrong path
\nToo much water about
\nIts one muddy bath
\nSo I went around the Oak
\nAnd tragically I
\nStepped on a trap
\nIts steel jawed
\nAnd was why<\/p>\n
I let out a scream
\nLike an owl on the wing
\nMy back legs were crushed
\nAnd i couldn\u2019t bring
\nMyself to move anywhere
\nAfter that shock
\nI just felt so heavy
\nAlmost like a rock<\/p>\n
She\u2019d be thinking
\nThat I was gallivanting around
\nSeeing my lady friends
\nWho pound for pound
\nWere rather special
\nI did love them so
\nBut all now was over
\nThat much I did know<\/p>\n
Back at home she would worry
\nAll sorts of ideas
\nAll Would be negative
\nOh yes my dears
\nAnd theres me going to
\nDie here in a steel trap
\nBoth my legs shattered
\nAs old death will wrap<\/p>\n
His blackness around me
\nFor here i would lie
\nCovered in blood
\nLooking up at the sky
\nMy family would manage
\nAnd people would think
\nAll the most rotten things
\nAnd as I blink<\/p>\n
The wicked fur lovers
\nMust understand they
\nWant to eat dead flesh
\nAnd the wear dead skin way
\nMore now do both
\nAnd its why trappers do
\nDescend into hell
\nJust to compromise you<\/p>\n
So as my eyes are closing
\nMy heart\u2019s getting weak
\nIt will soon be the bugs and the maggots
\nWho reap
\nWhats Left of my body
\nAs I pass away
\nAnd my missus now thinks bad of me
