Mid way through October
\nAnd often what we take
\nFor granted are the leaves
\nThats rustle and that shake
\nThe veracity of Nature
\nA compendium so clear
\nColours changing everywhere
\nFrom bloodlessness to cheer<\/p>\n
Flush and blush and glow and hue
\nTint and shade and dye
\nIntense and deep and unfaded
\nExciting the poets eye
\nDelicate discreet and flaunting
\nVivid brilliant gay
\nA kind of neutral hoary sky
\nOf grizzled charcoal grey<\/p>\n
A cherry spurting dryness
\nCoppery cinnamon curls
\nAlongside withered greenery
\nAnd Soft enticing twirls
\nThe Copper Beech is thinning
\nLacey puffs of brown
\nShimmering as the light evolves
\nAnd more come tumbling down<\/p>\n
The jasmine grassy mossy
\nA myriad of green
\nThe verdure turns to mustard
\nWhere stragglers now lean
\nClutching at the dew drops
\nWearing wintry pearls
\nLeaves are clothed and beautiful
\nAs Each little flag unfurls<\/p>\n
The Rosemary a protector
\nIts greenwood is supreme
\nA friendly clutching hugging soul
\nIts energy doth team
\nUp and create a maze
\nOf spiralling chartreuse
\nThe odd flower kissed with lilac
\nJust suddenly occurs<\/p>\n
The fuschia wirey willing
\nIts ballerina\u2019s dancing
\nCreating and god willing
\nDew drops decorating
\nAs It seemingly achieves
\nWhat we take for granted
