\na silly stupid bird

a chicken is a friendly soul
\nwith intelligence
\nand can
\nbe a friend

when I was just a little boy

\nRhode Island Reds
\n2 ducks and one
\nturkey
\nhoused in my dad’s sheds<\/p>\n
an old Anderson shelter
\na bomb shelter from the war
\nalong with 20 rabbits
\nand I know this, for sure<\/p>\n
if we treat creatures
\nlovingly
\nthey respond in kind
\nbut if you are cruel
\nin any way
\nyou’ll know
\nand they know
\nand you’ll find<\/p>\n
