\nThe sanctuary in Georgia
\nHas 78 ex laboratory Chimpanzees
\nFormer staff have said the apes
\nAre not looked after well
\nAnd the sanctuary is suing
\nFor defamation so a Spell
\nOf nastiness and hurtfulness
\nBut there is no smoke without fire
\nIt\u2019s cringeworthy apparently
\nSometimes even dire<\/p>\n
And now some other ex employees
\nare saying things are bad
\nWhilst human beings argue
\nThe Chimps feel very sad
\nIf they were from laboratories
\nExperimented on
\nAnd were taken by a sanctUary
\nAnd the love and care has gone<\/p>\n
From bad to worse that\u2019s terrible
\nWild chimps lives turn out bad
\nIf they are not looked after
\nThey must feel they have had
\nA rotten life and the fallout
\nMust be perilous for they
\nHoped for some redemption
\nBut still being made to pay<\/p>\n
Imagine their non fulfilment
\nDisappointingly
\nIll equipped to manage
\nThe insufficiency of being
\nAbandoned in a way
\nWritten off as hopeless
\nThere is nothing they can say<\/p>\n
The voiceless are the victims
\nWithdrawal of their care
\nThey kind of feel like fugitives
\nWithout a place to share
\nAnd all the while the humans are
\nArguing we know
\nThe Chimps must all be suffering
\nAs the contempt will grow<\/p>\n
Is it a lack of planning
\nIs it patchy care
\nWith animals the need
\nWe know is paramount aware
\nThey all need help and love and care
\nTheir vulnerability
\nGuarded by condition
\nSome sort of guarantee<\/p>\n
78 old monkeys
\nOne hopes they get their prayers
\nAnswered and people arguing
\nThe splitting of hairs
\nHopefully improvements
\nWill happen anyway
\nAs alarms apparently are raised
\nThey all must find a way<\/p>\n
Of engaging in their venture
\nTheir responsibility
\nIs love and care for the elderly
\nNot disunity
\nPeacemaking is the answer
\nIt\u2019s so negative to fight
\nDissension and disharmony
\nCan not be seen As right<\/p>\n
All the warring partners
\nMust fulfil the need
\nThe line of least resistance
\nAnd all must now succeed
\nBurying the hatchet
\nThe privilege of peace
\nFormulate a policy
\nAnd just try to release<\/p>\n
Let soundness and let goodness
\nBe the order of their day
\nEnhance and enrich their lifestyles
\nLet them feel their way
\nGive them the recognition
\nTo socialise and be
\nHappy and contented
