Be unfeeling is something that many
\nApparently have toward animals who
\nAre freeborn but taken to work hard as slaves
\nApparently that\u2019s what they do
\nLogging and carrying sees our compassion
\nWell non existent alas
\nBeing unsympathetic to anothers feelings
\nIs not an attribute it\u2019s crass<\/p>\n
Elephants dragging great logs of wood
\nImagine the damage the stress
\nOn their legs and their feet
\nOn their hearts it\u2019s no treat
\nWith mahouts unrelenting no less
\nIt is back in the last when machinery
\nWasn\u2019t the major event
\nBut now we have tractors and earth moving machines
\nAnd animals sure are spent<\/p>\n
Inhumanity guides these decisions
\nSurely a hardness of heart
\nAnimals struggling pulling like mad
\nA mahout wielding a stick
\nReady to censure the animals
\nReally this makes me feel sick
\nWe see it in Thailand
\nAnd Vietnam and out in India too
\nGiven no quarter, relentlessly who
\nStill feels the need e these poor souls
\nStruggle and fight In unfortunate roles<\/p>\n
Where is the wisdom where is the care
\nBeing responsive for every soul there
\nEmpathy sympathy
\nSamaritans we
\nMust realise
\nThat they were born Free
\nA Godly emotion
\nA gift actually
\nNot a bloody workhorse
