Peering into the sea
\nI imagine that I
\nCan see my reflection
\nJust wondering why
\nI don\u2019t look that well
\nIt seems any more
\nThe sea ice is melting
\nAnd I can\u2019t ignore<\/p>\n
What feels like hopelessness
\nShould I be resigned
\nTo fearing the worst
\nOr staying aligned
\nThe sea ice is melting
\nThe seals seemingly
\nAre, catching their fish
\nFar Out to sea<\/p>\n
I remember a time
\nWhen I was the boss
\nWhen I walked about
\nPeople did give a toss
\nBut now in what is an inauspicious
\nTime
\nMy prospects seem bleak
\nAnd I can hardly rhyme<\/p>\n
Often I lose heart
\nAnd just want to dive
\nAs deep as can be
\nand then not survive
\nJust sink to the bottom
\nAbandoned and gone
\nIn the coldest of spots
\nWhere the sun\u2019s Never shone<\/p>\n
Mom always said to me
\nYou were my best
\nSon in all the world
\nDespite all the rest
\nI cried my eyes Out
\nWhen she passed away
\nShe just gave me a smile

Motionless hopefully
\nI will go soon
\nJust like my mother
\nA bit out of tune
