\nAnd are obliged to know
\nUsing them for rides
\nIs wrong
\nDishonesty on show
\nIts not a done thing
\nNot at all
\nJaipur should realise
\nAbusing them is artfulness

You are all betraying
\nThe elephants today
\nAiding and abetting
\nIt\u2019s simply not the way
\nElephants are not meant to walk
\nOn highways
\nAnd therefore
\nUsing them to carry loads
\nIs not what they are for<\/p>\n
Their weight alone
\nOn made up roads
\nIs Uncaring
\nFor their feet
\nAnd you as mahouts ought to know
\nYou have no excuse
\nDeceit
\nIt is a wicked business
\nIt\u2019s unlawful if you ask me
\nTyrannical and spurious
\nit\u2019s Just criminality<\/p>\n
It\u2019s very very punishing
\nWalking on the street
\nCarrying bloody tourists
\nWho ought to use their feet
\nThrashing them with bull hooks
\nTo frighten and to scare
\nYou are acting just like devils
\nAnd they know how unfair<\/p>\n
You are and as for the tourists
\nAs insensitive as hell
\nWicked as the day is long
\nTheir poor old feet they swell
\nHow you neglect their being
\nBy installing the seats
\nDisrespecting Nature
\nWith your circle of defeats<\/p>\n
India should know better

The mahout a class where caring
\nWas the order of the day
\nTo see an elephant stitched
\nUp in a peculiar display
\nOf torment of regalia of ceremonial pain
\nDoes not show elephant in good light
\nFor then they have no gain<\/p>\n
Tis then when the whole tradition
\nFalls flat and is no more
\nWhen the elephants weep longer
\nThan they ever wept before
\nWhen the buckle under enormous stress
\nCaring passengers to
\nPlaces and they are suffering
\nWe all know what to do<\/p>\n
Realise the mahout has in fact lost their way
\nGiven in to commerce it\u2019s when animals pay
\nThe price long term for the evil
\nA punishment of sorts
\nIt\u2019s when the ache of ages
\nParalyses all our thoughts
\nWhen tourists show their true colours
\nOn the backs we know
\nHow much the elephants suffer
\nAnd it gets tougher down below<\/p>\n
Swelling leads to lameness
\nTo the constancy of city streets
\nAnd where is the mahout the men of honour
\nTheir tone unseats
\nThe threats of then experiencing
\nEach step to broach the fire
