\nThat Elephants have Ivory
\nAnd to want to use that substance
\nanimals have to be killed
\nAnd seemingly<\/p>\n
Some assumed before
\nThat it wasn\u2019t the case
\nBut now they know for certain
\nTo be sure
\nThat rather evil hunters
\nand poaching gangs are at it
\nMurdering the wildlife And
\nTo ignore
\nThis brutality the Chinese
\nAre beginning to realise
\nThat elephants need to be
\nProtected
\nMost know of the Mammoth Ivory
\nFound in the permafrost
\nAnd want to see<\/p>\n
That this old Ivory is utilised
\nNot killing present elephants today
\nAnd certainly not engaged in smuggling
\nEvil all the way
\nOut of Africa and back to China
\nIn their case
\nIt\u2019s beginning to dawn on some
\nPart of the human race
\nIgnorance is out there
\nBut now there are no excuses
\nElephants are needy of their tusks
\nAnd the abuses
\nThat the market causes
\nFor the ivory tusks that people use
\nCarving ornamentals
\nIt\u2019s so wrong that we abuse<\/p>\n
The Russians are now selling the
\nPermafrosted stuff
\n4000 years under the Ice
\nAnd it appears enough
\nTo satisfy tHe Chinese
\nAnd so the exports flow
\nIt\u2019s the black market criminals
\nThat Poach elephants
\nThat show
\nUp now in the various parks
\nIn Africa and why
\nThey still are murdering elephants
\nAnd overland they try
\nTo get the stuff to Hong Kong
\nNo questions asked and lies
\nAnd so the trade continues
\nAnd it is no surprise<\/p>\n
The fact that the Chinese Govt
\nAre stamping down on some
\nGiving them heavy prison terms
\nLocked down in Kingdom come
\nProbably forever
\nWith lashes everyday
\nAnd heavy labour and god knows what
\nIt\u2019s a sentence that will stay<\/p>\n
