The Cascada’s
\nsplash and crash
\nand crush and rush
\nand tumble down
\nattracting
\nthe prismatic light
\nand rainbows
\nand just drown<\/p>\n
all viable
\ncommitment
\nsome vast
\nexpanses we
\nmelt water
\ncold and crisp
\nas cold
\nas it can be<\/p>\n
listen to the
\ndeafening
\ncrescendo
\nhear its blast
\nthe water running
\neverywhere
\nmy god
\nits coming fast<\/p>\n
and in its depths Piranha lurk
\ntheir teeth
\nlikes spikes of bone
\neyes like devils
\nare protruding
\nnever swim alone<\/p>\n
not here in dear old
\nEcuador
\nwhere the jungles
\nrich and green
\ntie a person up in knots
\nnot even a machine<\/p>\n
can fight its way
\nthrough this great
\ntangle
\nfor way ahead we hear
\nthe greatest of cascada’s
\nblasting every ear<\/p>\n
creating cream and froth
\nand slime
\nits sp slippery they say
\nits spray can throw you
\nbackwards
\nif you are in its way<\/p>\n
like some great
\nanaconda
\nyour crushed
\nand mashed until
\nevery semblance
\nof human kind
\nis lost and you just spill<\/p>\n
into the raging torrent
\nto fill the stomachs, they
\nthe piranha and the caiman
\nwho are waiting and some pay
\na price for getting too close
\nto cascada’s let me say
\nI can still hear
\nthat vast chasm
\nas I was swept away<\/p>\n
