The Tibetan bells
\nare relevant
\nthey peal into my soul
\nthe spirit takes
\nenlightenment
\nand the mountains
\nhave their role<\/p>\n
in creating wind
\nand light
\nto pull the senses
\nand to sweep
\nthe heart beats
\nfrom exertion
\nand after a day of that
\nsuch sleep<\/p>\n
somewhere in some
\nMonastery hewn
\nout of the rocks
\nsubjected to an evil wind
\nthat freezes
\nthrough my socks<\/p>\n
that isolates the spirit
\nand sanctifies my pee
\nand mats my hair
\nin tighter knots
\nthan I could possibly<\/p>\n
Imagine gongs
\nreverberate
\nacross a turquoise sky
\nwhere eagles
\nrun the gauntlet
\nand where vultures
\ndo or die<\/p>\n
the sun is far away
\nblasts through
\nand still it blinds the eyes
\nand any solitary
\nwanderer
\nreturns with
\naching thighs<\/p>\n
what of the ice capped mountains
\nthe Himalaya’s, they
\nclimb into the clouds
\nthemselves
\nthey do it everyday<\/p>\n
the music of the mountains
\nplays havoc with
\none’s heart
\none’s breath
\nbegins to falter
\nI must get back on the cart<\/p>\n
and kick my legs
\nand wonder
\nwill I get back alive
\nthe donkey too is wondering
\nif he will survive<\/p>\n
for now he’s carrying me
\nas well
\nand the provisions
\nreally he
\nfeels really justified
\nin leaping
\nto infinity<\/p>\n
it might be, a blessing
\nwe will both together
\nfly
\ninto the blue and end up
\non the rocks below
\nI sigh
\nfor the ugliest of
\nvultures who will
\nchoke on us until
\nevery single bit of us
