\nOblivious almost of things
\nAbstracted and taken
\nAway in that moment
\nRemembering though
\nYou had wings<\/p>\n
To fly on the premise
\nOf futures
\nConfident that you could sail
\nInto the sunset
\nOn a wayward draught
\nForewarned and forearmed
\nWith your own special craft<\/p>\n
Aware of your knees
\nAnd your hands and your wings
\nA trick of the light
\nWhere everything brings
\nAnticipation prophetic, a taste
\nPerhaps a foreboding
\nOf what you now faced<\/p>\n
Surmising just mooting
\nThe future ahead
\nA tinkling cymbal played
\nLoud in your head
\nIt felt incoherent
\nA stammering guide
\nUnrecognisable from deep inside<\/p>\n
almost esoteric
\nUnspeakably you
\nWere drifting
\nAnd life seemed
\nUntranslatable too<\/p>\n
Alan thinking of you hoping you are realising
\nRest from the rigours is now paramount
\nA poem of an experience I believe you felt<\/p>\n
what is important now is your journey
\nBack to the normality that rest and family care
