The insatiable lust for Ivory
\nFrom the thoughtless and unconcerned
\nThey care about their profit
\nWhen some have actually learned
\nThat Ivory kills elephants
\nThey sometimes change their tune
\nBut too many ugly traders
\nIn China and Hong Kong
\nCouldn\u2019t care a monkeys
\nAnd they know they have done wrong
\nAnd they lie their miserable heads off
\nAnd they source the new Ivory still
\nAnd poaching goes on rampantly
\nAnd perhaps it always will
\nUntil there are no more elephants
\nPerhaps that has to be
\nGreed and evil is everywhere
\nThe arrogance we see<\/p>\n
There are several schools of thought
\nOne of sustainability
\nThat involves the killing of some elephants
\nAnd some people do agree
\nPoachers hunters get their kicks
\nFrom murdering the prime
\nAnd living off the profits
\nThey do this all the time
\nGreed though takes them over any quotas
\nThat they make
\nAnd the elephants are suffering
\nFor the laws they all just break
\nAnd policing elephant huntingAnd the Ivory industry
\nIs corrupted sadly
\nAs the world at large can see
\nGo and visit Hong Kong to Ivory shops
\nAnd they
\nwill tell you bare faced lieS
\nAbout their Ivory all day
\nIt\u2019s Siberian they will tell you
\nOut of the Permafrost
\nWe sell Mammoth Ivory
\nBut then Of course they have lost
\nThe argument already
\nBecause it\u2019s obvious they
\nAre selling African Ivory
\nWhere elephants do pay<\/p>\n

\nBut the Ivory mafia
\nSadly can\u2019t be bought
\nSo many vested interests
\nPeople on the take
\nThey could actually care a less
\nFor elephants
\nThe cake
\nis far too big and tasty
\nAnd everyone wants a slice
\nAnd people selling Ivory
\nMany are not nice
\nAll these rotten trinkets
\nHave flooded Hong Kong
\nThe traders they are mindless
\nMoronic all along
\nThey lie their miserable
\nheads off
\nAnd still the elephants die
\nShot down in a burst of bullets
\nand few around ask why<\/p>\n
Corruption in the countries
\nWhere the elephants come from
\nThe locals want some action
\nBlack marketeers they bomb
\nThe life out of the politicians
\nBlackmail and the rest
\nSo much criminality
\nNow that\u2019s off my chest
\nElephants are up against it
\nSurely that is true
\nThere are so few convictions
\nPoor judgement it rings through
\nPartisanship and and clannishness
\nAnd the gung- ho attitude
\nSo many unimaginative
\nAnd sadly bloody crude
\nIvory means death
\nTo elephants, and they
\nAre being shot to pieces
\nAs machine guns take away
\nWhole families shot and bleeding out
\nTusks hacked off at will
\nLeaving infants standing crying
\nAnd sometimes they just kill<\/p>\n
The lot of them the Matriarch
\nAnd every other soul
\nThe greed that\u2019s shown and the ugliness
\nIt is out of control
\nInappreciation for the gift
\nThat Was bestowed
\nOn Africa and India
\nAnd the great debt that is owed<\/p>\n
So many unenlightened empty – headed fools
\nWho do not have the foggiest
\nAbout international rules
\nThey suffer tunnel vision
\nArse and elbows they
\nReally are uncertain
\nAt the coming of each day<\/p>\n
They point their fingers at us
\nANIMAL RIGHTS they say
\nWe are trying to regulate
\nFrom outside the country
\nAnd we pay
\nLittle with experience
\nOf course I listen to
\nThat argument
\nBut honestly still do what I do<\/p>\n
Write for all the animals
\nSign petitions when I can
\nGet inside their heads and channel
\nReally for a ban
\nI love all the elephants
\nAnd every one should be
\nProtected and looked after
\nFor all eternity<\/p>\n
Trophy hunters should be shot
\nCanned hunters should be fed
\nTo existing Lions still caught up
\nIn their harvesting
\nThat has led
\nThe South African so called farmers
\nTo switch into the trade
\nOf harvesting wild felines
\nPut them on parade<\/p>\n
Burn their miserable Arses
\nStop them in their tracks
\nAnimals Rights we were put on this earth
\nTo watch all animals backs<\/p>\n
Which is what we shall do<\/p>\n
