\nWhy should we be
\nThreatened, as guardians
\nof Himachai Pradesh
\nBelieve we have the right
\nto stay and exact

\nOur lives are as important
\nThe environent is too
\nAll the impact assessments
\nWhat are they going to do
\nBut ruin what we live for
\nOur livelihoods, and we
\nIntend to battle for whats ours
\nand do so mercilessly.<\/p>\n
Our Buffalo’s, our Goats and Sheep
\nWe’re a proud race and we can
\nif needed fight with all our might
\ndown to the last man
\nAll the mills along the Hui
\nAnd the terraces we farm
\nWe preserve the natural enviroment
\nWhich remains forever calm
\nOur children bathe in the silver pools
\nThe oak forest serves us well
\nsteep slopes afford protection
\nWhats proposed for us is Hell<\/p>\n
A pipeline of this magnitude
\nWould be a deathly blow
\nIt would annihilate our being
\nAnd our heritage would go
\nThe watermills would be closed down
\nNo fishing any more
\nWe would all be high and dry
\nOur whole world gone for sure
\nIt would finish us completely
\nand the message it would send
\nTo the great indigenous people
\nThat our journeys at an end
\nOur sustainable approach
\nto land,<\/p>\n
and its management would be
\nSidelined by a pipeline generating
\nactually
\n4.5 MW and for that we’re threatened by
\nThe corporate giants who would stand
\nand watch all of us die<\/p>\n
The Corporates think they can just walk in a take our life as we know it away,we have seen loss of habitat with animals and now its us, anybody or creatures that are deemed to not be able to fight back and walked all over. Continue reading
