By a busy roadside
\nWe found an injured dog
\nHe was old and suffering
\nHis life was one big slog
\nSuffering an ear injury <\/p>\n
There were Maggots everywhere
\nWe took Him off to hospital
\nHe was a true old soul
\nDusted his ear with powder
\nAnd bandaged it
\nIt\u2019s role
\nto kill all the live maggots
\nAnd then, the next day, to wash
\nAnd remove the old guys ear
\nHe had really had had to pay<\/p>\n
Dearly for the neglect
\nNobody to care
\nBut now sedated and surgically removed
\nHe seemed aware
\nThat we were really helping him
\nAnd with lots a sari love
\nHe began to eat so quite the feat
\nWith the angels from above<\/p>\n
Clearly his own immunity
\nAnd of course our care
\nHe soon got better and began
\nTo run about and to share
\nLove and all that was wonderful
\nAnd \u201cFloyd\u201d got lots of that
\nand soon was back to normal
\nEnjoying where he was at<\/p>\n
