A hunter with his bloodied kill
\nand Nis daughter in his lap

\nDressed up to kill this sap
\nThis obstacle to knowledge
\nHalf baked and out of touch
\nUnscholarly and backward
\nWho does not conjure much
\nIn the way of inspiration
\nExposing his child to this
\nMurder of a wild wild wolf
\nWho lives a life of bliss<\/p>\n
A truly Lex predator
\nA pack animal supreme
\nBorn to make his difference
\nIn wildness terms the cream
\nOf the predatory angels
\nof Idaho the place
\nA bloodied snout
\nWhat\u2019s it about
\nThe only ugly face<\/p>\n
In the picture facing us
\nA bonehead let me say
\nHe feels he is the big man
\nFor the wolf Of course does lay
\nLooking up to the heavens
\nWith its dead cold eyes
\nThat\u2019s child will look back later
\nAnd then she will realise<\/p>\n
How cold and unintelligent
\nHer father really was
\nReally a proper dullard
\nAnd that was just because
\nThe wolf was so important
\nAnd killing it for fun
\nShooting it and finishing it
\nWhilst it was on the run<\/p>\n
Full of expectation
\nIt\u2019s family running too
\nAll its cubs in training
\nAnd what the bullets do
\nWas ended his incarnation
\nStopped him in his tracks
\nHe knew it was his end game
\nWhen he felt those last two whacks<\/p>\n
Untruths he fed his youngster
\nMade out his was king
\nOf course he exaggerated
\nTrying hard to bring
\nHis violence to a conclusion
\nThis big bad wolf was dead
\nAll the hype and overkill
\nClearly he put to bed<\/p>\n
Really ALL lives matter
\nAll creatures great and small
\nThe gods performed their miracles
\nAnd they answered their call
\nThey live where they were put
\nTo serve and create the countryside
\nAnd it\u2019s the hunters that ignorantly
\nBlow the dream so wide<\/p>\n
The vigour and the forcefulness
\nThe partner she would be
\nBeside herself as would the kids
\nAnd now upon his knee
\nHis daughter she would always
\nRemember the last hour
\nWhen daddy fired his rifle
\nUsing his might and power<\/p>\n
And as she grows up one day
\nShe will look Again
\nAnd see the face of agony
\nAnd share the great wolfs pain
\nAnd possibly remember her father
\nIn the poorest light
\nWho took her to the battle
