\nAnd I am sure
\nsuffered and lamentably
\nFrom lameness
\nBut when found out
\nThe owners were fined
\nAnd released to carry on farming
\nSo whats Ll that\u2019s about <\/p>\n
Well first
\nHis mother
\nWon the Dairy Women of the year
\nThat was in 2012
\nSo it\u2019s very clear
\nIt\u2019s not what you do
\nBut who your mother is
\nShe\u2019s an MP
\nHer husband ran the farm as well
\nBut it seems to me
\nBecause the son has pleaded
\nGuilty
\nthe court Says
\nThe father is being let off
\nAltogether What a sport!
\nAs to the great Dairies
\nAll around the world
\nThe mendaciousness is obvious
\nThe poor females are hurled
\nInto a cycle of cruelty
\nFrom the rape rack into birth
\nKidnap of their babies
\nWho often have littLe worth
\nAnd then after so many cycles
\nThe slaughterhouse
\nAnd where
\nMany cows are dragged
\nLame
\nby the consequences there<\/p>\n
To get back to this story
\n74 cows lame
\nThe vets had said neglect was rife
\n25 They claim
\nWere so ill they were all put down
\nHaving suffered inextricably
\n49 were suffering
\nBut were treated apparently
\nIt\u2019s all down to poor cow management
\nCows these days are made
\nTo produce more milk than Nature
\nAnd if the cows were weighed
\nUp against those cows from fifty years ago
\nTodayS cows are much heavier
\nAs probably you know<\/p>\n
Genetics and all sorts of feed
\nAnd chemicals galore
\nThe poor cows carry vast Amounts
\nBut for their calves the deal is raw
\nAll the milk is for profit
\nFor selling and making cheese
\nAnd so the cows must be cared for more
\nBecause if you ignore
\nThey can become so sick
\nTheir hind feet and outer claw
\nCan you imagine with all that weight
\nWhen farmers do ignore
\nThe condition And carry on milking them
\nJust how much agony
\nAnd to become lame and have to be killed
\nIt\u2019s awful tragedy
\nBut it can be down to digital dermatitis
\nAnd this reduces milk yield substantially
\nSo a loss of profit and if it overlooked
\nThen really it is pitiful to see
\nIt\u2019s because of filtHy conditions
\nand if this is the case
\nThe cruelty is unimaginable
\nIt\u2019s really a disgrace<\/p>\n
So to get back to this story
\nThe son has confirmed that he
\nIs guilty of the problem
\nAnd will be charged
\nBut he will be
\nAllowed to carry on farming
\nIt isn\u2019t what you do
\nBut who your mother is it seems
\nShareholders good and true
\nThe court judgement
\nMade him pay the sum
\nOf 4000 dollars to
\nFor The vet and for the experts
\nThen the company who
\nRan the farm all members of the family
\nDid have shares
\nThey were fined 30,000 dollars
\nNot splitting any hairs<\/p>\n
And they all walked away
\nAs farmers carrying on the trade
\nNo prison time at all
\nAs for the 25 cows they killed
\nReally it does appal
\nMe to realise the pain and agony
\nThey went through
\nAnimals should be granted love
\nAnd care And so the view
\nThat they continue farming
\nDairy
\nFor me a loathsome trade<\/p>\n
