Habitat loss has become very serious
\nWild souls are finding that their
\nNeeds are conflicting with settlements
\nAnd of course really how is that fair
\nIt happens in England in forested places
\nWhere badgers and foxes and deer
\nAre up against people who want to build houses
\nAnd then realise to live near
\nWhere wild souls live and hunt regularly
\nCause some concern and we see
\nThe wild ones all driven out
\nInjured and shot
\nWhich honestly just shouldn\u2019t be<\/p>\n
But these are the humans that\u2019s how they work
\nAnimals should live in zoo\u2019s
\nNot hunt in their gardens and eat all their flowers
\nSuddenly they are bad news
\nSo a leopard in India ranging
\nComes into a village close by
\nNot long ago it was wild habitat
\nBut now if it does It Might die<\/p>\n
Be shot by the villagers collectively
\nSeeing their cattle or pets
\nStolen by wild souls just like this Leopard
\nAnd they are then seeing their debts
\nIncreasing as they build higher fences
\nAnd still the wild souls come on by
\nElephants searching for water
\nAnd so yet again they will die<\/p>\n
It\u2019s everywhere a battle royal for the land
\nHumans encroaching for they
\nJust love the freedom of countryside living
\nTheir lands getting larger each day
\nBut stolen in reality from The wild souls
\nWho are hunted run off trapped and killed
\nProblems with pet cats and dogs up against
\nThe wild ones whose bloods being spilled<\/p>\n
A Leopard is killed searching out food
\nAnd he
\nVisits a village that\u2019s what we see
\nIn Kerala this week Elephants die
\nAnd wild Boars all the time
\nSo I say and I sigh
\nKnowing all over this world
\nAt his time
\nConflict is growing
\nAnd none can rely<\/p>\n
On anything happening sooner
\nAs we
\nMove closer and closer<\/p>\n
