\nThe objective is to train a dog
\nTo fetch the wounded prey
\nHuman hunters pride themselves
\nOn not looking into the eyes
\nOf the object of their denial
\nWho fail to realise<\/p>\n
Though they may be feeding
\nQuietly far away
\nIn the early morning
\nThe accusers never pay
\nThey ambush and they hide themselves
\nWith telescopic sight
\nAnd abuse a dog who is loyal to them
\nWhich for me is at the height<\/p>\n
Of cruelty to wild animals
\nAnd so called man\u2019s best friend
\nTrained up to kill to trail a deer
\nTheir energy to expend
\nMan is wholly dishonest
\nTo himself and to the hound
\nAn opportunist laggard
\nThe most wicked around<\/p>\n
Artful yes to the extreme
\nWorthless villainy
\nA double-dealing double-crossing
\nCriminality
\nA Malinois his chosen friend
\nTo help him track the kill
\nSo as he does not lose his prize
\nScenting the blood does spill<\/p>\n
And there we see this innocent
\nChoking as it\u2019s own blood
\nSoaks away on that awful day
\nA warm and awful flood
\nA photograph depicts the scene
\nThe energy of Ill
\nThe shamefulness the turpitude
\nLacking any skill<\/p>\n
Ambushed murderer hunter
\nA manipulating scum
\nWho trains his loyal companion
\nTo follow him as numb
\nAs this so called hunter fellow
\nWhose telescopic sights
\nKnows he hit the target
\nFor he has all the rights<\/p>\n
The beast is coughing haughtily
\nSuffering a lot
\nBlood is spilling every which way
\nYes he has been shot
\nBawling out such agony
\nRealising he
\nIs fading fast
\nThe bullets blast
\nAnd now dying he be<\/p>\n
The hunter wants his bounty
\nWants to cut and run
\nCut away the antlers
\nAnd flesh too, on the run
\nWants his dog to find the kill
\nHelp him trace the scent
\nWhen he pulled that trigger
\nHe knew the deed he had made a dent<\/p>\n
We can just make out the evil
\nThe agony one feels
\nAs ones eyes Begin to close out
\nWhat The natural world reveals
\nThe breath is slowly faltering
\nWeakness is the key
\nIt\u2019s hard to stand up tragically
\nThis dying soul is me<\/p>\n
The scoffing and the mocking
\nOf the rifleman who stalks
\nThe gibes the taunts the sarcasm
\nAs he runs and walks
\nInsulting and outrageous
\nA human never humane
\nA supercilious arse hole
\nWorthy of a drain<\/p>\n
A filthy hole to lay in
\nThis ugly revolting creep
\nHunters are an athema
\nThey really make me WEEP
\nTears that last a lifetime
\nFor a moment whilst they take aim
\nAn angel feeding far away
\nFeels the mortal flame<\/p>\n
Knows nothing of unworldliness
\nOf impeccability
\nWho has inoffensive feelings
\nWho is wild and who is free
\nWide eyed clearly blameless
\nPardonable for sure
\nWith the conscience of an infant
\nWho now lies wet with gore<\/p>\n
As a fellow human
\nI am sickened just to see
\nAnd feel the young deers anguish
\nSeraphic and saintly
\nCompared to this vile sickened rogue
\nWho fools a hound as well
\nI abhor these men who call themselves
\nHUNTERS
\nand ignore<\/p>\n
Their pleading they need hanging
\nOr pushing off a rock
\nTo crash down with spine broken
\nTo feel that initial shock
\nAnd to lay their slowly bleeding out
\nAs the vultures scream above
\nAnd come to smell their carrion
\nA similar sort of love<\/p>\n
The aiding and abetting
\nSuch delinquency
\nComplicit in the murder
\nOf a soul so keen to be
\nUndergoing reparation
\nAs peaceful as could be
\nAn animal environmentalist
\nWhose solace tragically<\/p>\n
Was temperateness
\nAnd self restraint
\nHe was where he was put
\nWas gifted by his goddess
\nHis frugality
\nA path out of his wilderness
\nA true piety
\nHis feet close to the earth
\nAlways
\nA wild child we can say
\nMurdered and perverted
\nIn the cold light of that day.<\/p>\n
