Transforming a plot
\nThat was lifeless and dry
\nSmothered in carpet
\nAnd destined to die
\nA classic Beech
\nPulling nutrients fast
\nNeglected for years
\nThere the die cast
\nThe true historicity
\nWildness took charge
\nDraining the top soil
\nAnd it was large
\nThe threat to vitality
\nThe essential part
\nThe embodiment really
\nWhat became the heart<\/p>\n
Of the problem
\nThe drainage
\nThe lack of good soil
\nWas replaced with hard graft
\nAnd considerate toil
\nThe applicable carpet
\nAnd lifelessness caused
\nWas the antidote needed
\nAnd what then has paused
\nThe March of the dead pan
\nThe need to fulfill
\nadequate compost
\nAnd genuine will
\nHours of reflection
\nOf weeding and more
\nOf adding the nutrients
\nThat would be sure<\/p>\n
The weeding the seeding
\nThe uniqueness of thought
\nPure innovation
\nSo much was sought
\nAnd all single handedly
\nRaked out and hoe\u2019d
\nRestoring the balance
\nAnd breaking the code
\nThe spiral reversed
\nThe soil found it\u2019s worth
\nIncrements added
\nTo add to the earth
\nHer reinforcements
\nDay after day
\nNight after night
\nIt was her way<\/p>\n
She turned around a desert
\nOf rubble and grass
\nOf what was just lifeless
\nTo what was first class
\nAnd she did it by herself
\nAll on her own
\nPlanting and hoping
\nThat all she had sown
\nWould come to fruition
\nThe tangle and mess
\nAnd she was rewarded
\nFor all of that stress
\nBy Nature the mother
\nExtending her hand
\nAnd adding the florals
\nTo brighten the land<\/p>\n
Alongside the brassicas
\nWildness appeared
\nA fusion and union
\nBecause she endeared
\nA symbiosis before our eyes
\nWhere everything flourished.
\nBecause she was wise<\/p>\n

\nAll the plants joyful
\nYour remedy
\nYour spirited soul
\nTurned it round
\nWe can see
\nLook at the blossoms on the
\nCherry Tree<\/p>\n
A billowing rhapsody
\nThe Copper Beech too
\nBurnished and crimson
\nAnd all down to you
\nLook at the Rosemary
\nFor months it has flowered
\nAll the shrubs and the lilies
\nAnd wild plants
\nHave showered <\/p>\n
The garden with forget me knots
\nHerb Robert too
\ndandelions laughing
\nAnd because of you
\nYour energy brought them
\nYour avid embrace
\nYou adherent energy
\nand your good grace
\nAnd now in the sunshine
\nSuch colours we see
\nThe brimstone of broccoli flowers
\nSmilingly
\nThe fireweed brought in
\nBy the birds who did ply
\nOver the garden and let the
\nSeeds fly<\/p>\n
And the wood pigeons chorus
\nIt hangs in the air
\nThe corvidae boys and girls
\nThe biscuits they share
\nThe bulbs and the splendour
\nOf tulips and before
\nThe March of the daffodils
\nResplendent and more
\nA great transformation
\nFine by my dear
\nWith your hard work
\nAnd study
\nIn all weathers clear
\nA natural integrity
\nWith pots and with stones
\nAll of your artistry
\nReally the bones
