The Egyptians have revered cats
\nAs Gods and goddesses they
\nWere held in high repute
\nAnd loved and cared for in a way
\nWhen cats were killed out of respect
\nThey shaved their eyebrows they
\nHeld them in sublimity
\nForever and a day<\/p>\n
In mythology the Goddess Bastet
\nWas respected and admired
\nShe defended the sun god RA
\nAs eye of Ra inspired
\nRa tis said her beauty
\nWas beyond belief
\nAnyone killing a cat
\nIn Egypt
\nKnew they would come to grief
\nOn purpose or by accident
\nProphesies were fulfilled
\nAnyone killing any cat
