buds
And murmurings peep
Tiny wee leaves
Wake up from their sleep
With a freshness and boldness
Each bud is aflame
Tiny hovering flies
Enjoying a game
Of hide and seek clearly
Bobbing about
I am wearing my blue dress
And can hear them shout
And bathe in the light
Its intensity
Which now does feel so right
It’s where I must be

Hello Madam Snail
With your home On your back
Gifting us all your silvery track
“Hello Robbie redbreast
My goodness you are
As handsome as ever
A real living star”
Of the fields and the woods
So close to my home
A pretty companion
When gardening I
Often see Robbie
On a fence close by
He cocks his head one way
And I hear him say
“I love coming here Dawn
I wish I could stay”
Have you found any worms
For me
Can I come see
and he flies to the earth
To be closer to me

He is part of the spectrum
The pigments I see
When I am wearing my dress
I am able to be
So understanding of the creatures I meet
From the tops of the heads to
Their dear little feet

Some more discreetly stare from afar.
but Robbie is bold
He is my little star
Gossamer silks spread into the sky
Collecting the sunbeams
That clearly do fly
And somewhere lies hidden
A spider by name
A butterscotch fairy
Whose claim to fame
Is she weaves her web
Of the silks from the sun
She is bronzed she is tanned
And then she is gone
“Where does she hide Dear Spidery soul
Pray tell me and share with me
What is your role”

Many new buds blushed with
Cherry lips shine
Clutching the dew
Like a pitcher of wine
Dandelions roaring
Their brimstone refrain
Cling to the old walls
And clearly they gain
Reverence rooted in clay
Seemingly
Their roots pushing deeper
And deeper they be

dappling stippling marbling
Colours
Splashes and splodges
Spangles and stripes
The lustre of Spring’s sprung
The minds eye is watching
Winking and blinking
Just all different types
Of animal vegetable mineral
For me
To visualise wonder and decide
Where to be

A wood pigeon wearing his white collar
Beautifully
Sits perched atop an old cherry tree
Still clutching tightly some of last seasons leaves
Whilst sporting new buds so firmly believes
energy saved is energy valued
Optics and peepers
Sideways I see
Spring comes alive
On April’s suggestion
The birch wafts it’s pollen
Away constantly

Many a human
Keen city dwellers
May cough and may splutter
From birch trees who share
Their sweet sherbet life force
A bulk pollination
Richly adorned and into the air

But I in my blue dress
Just know of it’s existence
It doesn’t affect me
Not when I wear
I am protected by magic
Forever
Believers are achievers
And always aware.

I be the ultimate onlooker really
Spotting the secrets
And learning to be
Quizzing the occupants
Learning intently
With more understanding
All of us see

My invisibility
To other humans
I be the unseen
In my dress of blue
But the wild souls that frequent
The countryside close by
They are my true friends
My constant revue

My inner child
Is my valid companion
Our psyche’ safe evident
Tuned up and they
Work with the powers of thought
and perceptions
Our sub conscious freedoms
Are always in play

Positivism
it’s here in good measure
Cogitative guidelines are just everywhere
Ideas and notions
And magickal potions
And spells as the rede sings
The wild ones all share
A sacred bag with hag stone and feather
Acts as my guidance
Wherever I go
Given with love and remembered
For ever
A sweeping embrace
and no truer rondeau.

Light is my gift And this mornings delight Such resplendence A stillness With Colours so bright Blossoms and buds And murmurings peep Tiny
