\nAnd lock downs let me say
\nIt can really get to you frighteningly
\nWe begin To forget what day
\nBut what we have is something else
\nRituals at places that
\nAre memorable and historic
\nHelping us know where we are at<\/p>\n
The veracity of druidry
\nIt\u2019s ritual and it\u2019s past
\nThat we chronicle the experience
\nEach enactment it does last
\nReflecting on each moment
\nAnd the conceptual way
\nWe via our bard create
\nA visual aid upon the day<\/p>\n
At Cotswold order we have
\nA smallish groups of friends
\nWith pastoral reflections
\nWhich The pagan way defends
\nThe magic and the spirit
\nAnd the lucidity
\nWith its honour and its healing
\nAnd it\u2019s bardic clarity<\/p>\n
The balladry is out there
\nThe willingness to be
\nCaring and all sharing
\nThe fruits and harmony
\nTo commemorate the solstices
\nThe equinoxes too
\nAnd the other natural
\nhappenings where ritual
\nBrings us through<\/p>\n
The predetermination
\nTo come together and
\nTo notice Nature\u2019s gifts bestowed
\nRight across the land
\nOrdered within each circle
\nRespect and friendship we
\nShare a true alignment
\nAnd a wisdom constancy<\/p>\n
Now we see descended upon
\nUs a perhaps elongation
\nWe are losing our freedoms
\nAnd that is no salvation
\nWe were realising fellowship
\nOur emotions charged and now
\nIt\u2019s all been taken away from us
\nAnd we are wondering how<\/p>\n
We have much to fall back on
\nOur togetherness
\nWhat\u2019s become our sociability
\nA credible success
\nCordial and hearty
\nOur gatherings inspired
\nThe obliging affability
\nThat we have all acquired<\/p>\n
At this moment we have the internet
\nThough that may soon be taken down
\nWe have our faith and meaning
\nWe have genius and the clown
\nHealers and a wealth of players
\nGood will and helpfulness
\nBlessings and liberality
\nand empathy no less<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s remind ourselves of the good times we may have taken for granted
\nAnd hope that this taste of bitterness will lead on to a sweet nosegay again<\/p>\n
