We are all facing
\nChallenging times it is true
\nAnd some of us
\nHonestly don\u2019t know what to do
\nIt\u2019s out of our hands
\nIn a great many ways
\nAnd our sensitivity
\nReally it plays
\nHavoc with life
\nAs we know it Today
\nBeing aware
\nAwake to it all
\nIt\u2019s stirs up the senses
\nIt\u2019s easy to fall
\nOne week into lockdown
\nMassive containment
\nSo much uncertainty
\nThat much we know
\nMinds working overtime
\nChanges afoot
\nThe improbability
\nIt is hard put<\/p>\n
And all around us
\nOur relatives are
\nVery susceptible
\nSo we must star
\nIn our very own drama
\nStep up to the plate
\nUse our good judgement
\nBefore it\u2019s too late
\nBeing a Druid
\nInflates you a lot
\nYour have a belief system
\nAnd you do not
\nFall to bits quickly
\nFor that leadership role
\nIs not just commercial
\nFor we have a role
\nTo play in the destiny
\nOf everyone
\nStarting with our families
\nWe won\u2019t get overrun
\nOutside our homes
\nWe have forests and groves
\nWe have animal tribes
\nAnd it behoves
\nUs all to be strong
\nIn the face of the weak
\nCheck the mirror each day
\nAnd continue to seek
\nOut the positives
\nOut there
\nWork out a way
\nOf getting to grips
\nWith the shit Everyday
\nAbandon the negative
\nHabits and traits
\nStand up for the good
\nBe willing to aid
\nKarma is with us
\nWe shall be paid<\/p>\n
Steadfastness it really
\nStrengthens us all
\nIt does need discipline
\nOr we shall fall
\nWe need commitment
\nAnd constancy
\nAnd an unflagging wealth
\nTo apply earnestly.
\nDebbie is finding it
\nRemarkably hard
\nPaul clearly
\nAlso needs to be on guard
\nAnd your role in all this
\nIs you need to be
\nA driving force too
\nWith some urgency<\/p>\n
I know how hard it is
\nIt is for me
\nI am on my own
\nAnd I write constantly
\nPoems for people
\nBut animals too
\nWeak sensitive souls
\nA lot like me and you
\nWe stand up to the plate
\nWe fight for the weak
\nI am in pain
\nIt helps that I seek
\nBut it\u2019s not forthcoming
\nSo what I must do
\nIs go it alone
\nFight like hell
\nWith the view
\nTo be a better Druid
\nFor kingdom come
\nFor the animal tribes
\nAnd there are some
\nFeeling the pinch
\nNeeding the care
\nAnd people I love
\nI need to share
\nMy gifts with them
\nAnd each time I do
\nI do get stronger
\nSo you can too<\/p>\n
I know it\u2019s not easy
\nI use to be
\nFast
\nI could run I could jump
\nI was free
\nIn the last 20 years
\nPain came to be
\nAnd for all oF this time
\nMy druidry
\nMy will to conquer
\nThe pain constantly
\nNot one day has passed
\nWhen I ever was free<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a struggle for sure
\nBut in many ways
\nThe brain it grows wiser
\nAnd worthy of praise
\nWhen it\u2019s fighting an enemy
\nA vile disease
\nSome falter
\nSome fight
\nSome fall on their knees<\/p>\n
If we fight
\nThen our finer points
\nCome to the fore
\nIf we fall on our knees
\nInside us there\u2019s a war
\nOf attrition and hopelessness
\nAnd that is no good
\nSo we fight in a quiet way
\nBecause we know we should<\/p>\n
We hone our gifts
\nBe it thinking or writing
\nHelping or caring or sharing
\nInviting
\nOthers to
\nTell us
\nWhat we can do
\nReach out and ask them
\nAnd just remain true<\/p>\n
To ourselves
\nFor the future
\nWill always be fine
\nIf we love and we care
\nAnd will see the sign
\nOf virtue and excellence
\nOf wonder too
\nAnd our imagination
\nWill heighten it\u2019s true
\nOur eyesight will strengthen
\nOur olfactory side
\nAnd we shall appreciate
\nAnd never hide
\nOur feelings as Druids
\nEach day we must learn
\nBuild up our brain base
\nAnd always concern
\nOurselves with others
\nStudy and see
