It is my feeling ZOO\u2019s will never
\nTake the place of wildness
\nOur arrogance does sever
\nThe natural life of animals
\nLack of exercise
\nLack of foraged wildness
\nWe must not believe their lies<\/p>\n
Elephants the largest pachyderms alive today
\nThick skinned individuals
\nIn every single way
\nBut very very sensitive
\nTo environments and b where
\nThey live and breathe and emotionally
\nFace long bouts of despair<\/p>\n
Zoo\u2019s are so unnatural
\nAs babies elephants need.
\nelephant milk not the processed stuff
\nThat will always lead to a much weaker digestion
\nand then the stress is always there
\nMood swings rings eternal
\nWith the build up of despair<\/p>\n
Wild souls kept in lockdown
\nIt doesn\u2019t help at all
\nIt restricts their natural movement
\nAnd breaks just every rule
\nIf a virus comes to weaken
\nThe heart and soul creates
\nA miasma of confusion
\nAnd the will to live abates<\/p>\n
I so feel for these babies
\nTears are easy here
\nLocked down in a foreign place
\nNo one feels their fear
\nAnd cry they do inside themselves
\nAnd nobody does care
\nTheir job for which they are paid a wage
\nIs why they all work there<\/p>\n
And elephants are deep thinkers
\nProfoundly, they know
\nIt\u2019s better off to just fade away
\nThan be part of a show
\nAlways being gawped at
\nFed food they do not need
\nMedication that upsets them
\nIn the zoo they just don\u2019t lead
\nA life that they are happy with
\nIt\u2019s easier to go
\nTo the rainbow bridge
\nWhere so many
\nWent before
