An audience of those
\nWho fail to think or even care
\nAll they see is a scrap
\nAnd whether or not it\u2019s fair
\nThe serenity and calmness
\nThe unflappable the sure
\nStatuesque and peaceful
\nNever keen on war
\nA tolerant unruffled placid
\nSoul who cares
\nUp against a gaggle
\nOf sea birds whose affairs<\/p>\n
Are always clearly alien
\nThey mostly perch on piers
\nArguing the toss about
\nThis or that no tears
\nFor taking on an artistic soul
\nIn a meditative state
\nWho probably would have got eaten up
\nHad Carly not been great<\/p>\n
A warrior who sees and acts
\nA balancer As well
\nThe lack of equilibrium
\nA rather reckless spell
\nOf bullying and madness
\nGroups they often feel
\nReady for a bundle
\nOver someone\u2019s meal<\/p>\n
She came out to go shopping
\nBut what she saw was wrong
\nAnd she was there to balance up the scales
\nHeroes belong
\nWhere the heron actually was
\nAnd so she weighed in and
\nBoots and bags acting as flags
\nShe was there to right the wrong<\/p>\n
Got all wet of course she did
\nBut there\u2019s a heart that cares
\nShe knows about her nature
\nAnd of course the wild affairs
\nOf birds in the environment
\nAnd the underdogs and she
\nTook it on herself to make a difference
\nShe was key<\/p>\n
The Heron gracefully departed
\nThe sea gulls angrily
\nGot a rude awakening
\nI like that actually
\nCarly is a darling
\nShe put a wild soul first
\nAs for self indulging
\nHer rather firery burst<\/p>\n
Took her home to clean up
\nAnd Under a sky of blue
\nBeans on toast
\nAnd a satisfactory end
\nGood and true<\/p>\n
The Heron remained stoical
\nRestrained and ready for
\nA gudgeon or a baby perch
\nAnd who knows perhaps some more<\/p>\n
Thinking to himself
\nThat human being was a friend
\nDespite the rabid audience
\nHer action in that moment
\nIt honestly did lend
\nA weight to his philosophy
\nHis agility and repose
\nCarly was the warrior
