Our world is now on lock down
\nCoronavirus kills
\nThe old the infirm and the sick
\nSo much blood it spills
\nAnd where did it originate
\nFrom consuming animals that
\nWere murdered in the jungles
\nReally where they sat
\nLiving with their families
\nShot down off some tree
\nWhat is known as bushmeat
\nWith toxicity<\/p>\n
In Africa it\u2019s worse of all
\nMonkeys and apes are being
\nSlaughtered in their thousands
\nBy those not so far seeing
\nIn unsustainable numbers too
\nThe forests are stripped bare
\nRural areas where the poor
\nLive and need to share<\/p>\n
Elephants and pangolins
\nCrocodiles and Rats
\nChimpanzee they like them smoked
\nAnd the civet cats
\nFruit bats and Bonobo\u2019s
\nDuikers and porcupine
\nRiver hogs and Zebra\u2019s
\nAll considered fine<\/p>\n
The problem is in many cases
\nThe animals carry germs
\nParasites and viruses
\nEven wiggly worms
\nAround the Congo Basis
\nAnd Guinea more and more
\nNigeria and the Cameroon\u2019s
\nThey are breaking every law<\/p>\n
Extinction is now paramount
\nOther diseases too
\nLike Ebola and HIV and syphillis
\nIt\u2019s true
\nLeprosy and Measles
\nAnd of course TB
\nZoonotic viruses many more we see<\/p>\n
And the world is in fact on lockdown
\nEvery blooming where
\nFreedom is being curtailed
\nThe old it isn\u2019t fair
\nDying without ventilators
\nRestricted in what we do
\nAnd all because of meat eating
