A state of expectation
\nOf wildness and of freedom
\nAll that pent up suppressed need
\nUnfulfilled and lost
\nA prisoner who never committed any crimes
\nBut just was locked up anyway
\nJust a sign of the times<\/p>\n
Resigned to the hopelessness
\nThe utter disappointment
\nEverything was baffled
\nBlighted and a bitter end
\nYou cannot exercise your limbs
\nThere is no place to turn around
\nThwarted balked and hindered
\nChained up and always bound<\/p>\n
Your bubble was burst long ago
\nHopes dashed, disillusioned
\nMurphys law and every whammy
\nNothing Ever came to be
\nLife for you was meaningless
\nEmpty and nonsensical
\nUnspeakable untranslatable
\nA paradox for sure
\nConfined in fact to purdah
\nAnd beaten and some more<\/p>\n
The bull hook and the whip
\nCoupled with the chains and screaming
\nIncarceration and restraint
\nIn every walk of life
\nRepression and coercion
\nHouse arrest and guarding
\nWhat amounts to bloody quarantine
\nJust plain and utter strife<\/p>\n
Trammeled shackled hammered
\nRestricted every movement
\nThe greatest ever pachyderm
\nDeflated every day
\nBeaten down and made to feel
\nImpoverished and hopeless
\nMentally dependent
\nOn the keepers all the way<\/p>\n
Bondage and enslavement
\nBrings on the mental habits
\nThe awful aberration the swaying too and fro
\nOppressed beyond the pale of life
\nBrought to ones knees on show
\nSubservient to human beings
\nTrodden down into the dirt
\nWe all dream of a great unravelling
\nAnd liberation and such hurt<\/p>\n
Is evident in our surrender
\nOur compromise in how we feel
\nRocking in our cage and saying
\nOur bereavement its for real
\nDiminishing returns for all
\nCaptivity phajan and more
\nThe crippling effects of torture
\nFor us it is an all out war<\/p>\n
We rock we cry we sense the end
\nOur wildness gone for evermore
\nGalley slaves on board your vessel
\nBehind bars each guardroom door
\nLocked and clearly clanging banging
\nThe countryside the massive plain
\nWhat we knew of total wildness
\nWe will never see again<\/p>\n
The wonderment beyond all else
\nThe hero worship we enjoy
\nFamily and the love and care
\nThe matriarch she does employ
\nA wondrous teaching on each journey
\nHer calmness and serenity
\nReplaced by doom and
\nGloom and hatred
\nOur lineage and ancestry<\/p>\n
Cancelled out by arrogance
\nBy ignorance and selfishness
\nPachyderms as large as life
\nCommitted to a cage so small
\nThrusts into your darkness
\nSworn at beaten made to feel
\nWe are simple servants
\nOutcastes to conceal<\/p>\n
Introversion breeds a coldness
\nOstracism every day
\nRestricted to a tiny space
\nAnd left to rot away
\nGruffness bluntness harshness roughness
\nActs of true discourtesy
\nWe are suffering we are victims
\nMental illness tragically<\/p>\n
