\nTo their environment
\nThey have no sweat glands
\nUnlike you and me
\nThey need to keep,
\nout of the heat
\nThey need fluids
\nRodeo will surely get them beat<\/p>\n
Pulling out their tusks
\nWould be painful
\nAnd stressful and yes painful
\nGiving shock
\nAn anxiety for certain
\nBefore they start the rodeo
\nChasing in the heat
\nRunning amok<\/p>\n
Cowboys and cowgirlsTo
\nTo me they seemingly
\nAppear forgetful
\nand indifferent to the heat
\nInconsiderate to the animals
\nthey are chasing
\nDistracted by the ability
\nto compete
\nBeing unobservant
\nof the suffering
\nOf animals
\nfor whatever cause
\nIf we are teaching children
\nTo be responsible
\npeople
\nPerhaps we ought
\nspend some time just to pause<\/p>\n
Okay with living in Texas
\nAnd animals get to be
\nChased around and beaten up
\nIt\u2019s what the people see
\nBut is it right or is it wrong
\nUnthinkable perhaps
\nThese are fearful animals
\nBeaten up and slapped<\/p>\n
For me it feels illogical
\nQuibbling chicanery
\nSponsors think it\u2019s worthwhile

\nCruelty is paramount
\nIt\u2019s folly to regret

So called cowboys render
\nCruelty on hogs
\nChase them rope them pull them down
\nThis oafishness it dogs

Animals have feelings
\nTheir sinews ache like ours
\nThrown down and roped they injure

What\u2019s wrong with all you Texas folk

\nA time to let your hair down, and go wild
\nAnd take it out on the poor old hogs
