Not equipped with the brains
\nShe was born with
\nAnd what seems to be that she
\nWas forgetful and really thoughtless
\nTo the heat there that could be
\nShe left her pet dog in her car
\nWhilst she went shopping she
\nLeft the engine running
\nWith the air con hopefully
\nShe knew though it was faulty
\nWas that her oversight
\nWas she absent- minded
\nInconsiderate car from right<\/p>\n
Shopping out in Walmart
\nFor over an hour again
\nShe didn\u2019t come back to check
\nOr imagine the pain
\nA dog left in the sweltering heat
\nJust panting away
\nFearful frightened and dying
\nOn that dreadful day<\/p>\n
And what did she do about it
\nThe dog died tragically
\nThe police the courts
\nWhat are our thoughts
\nPrison obviously
\nSix years she should serve that length of time
\nAnd never again
\nBe allowed to keep an ANIMAl
\nFor me she was insane<\/p>\n
Uncaring and unsharing
\nHer thoughts were all her own
\nShe knew that it was hot outside
\nBut chose to appear just thrown
\nDistracted from the poor dog
\nFor me a disregard
\nShe lost the thread completely
\nThough that was not so hard<\/p>\n
For her but still she did that
\nAnd the poor dog expired
\nShe created an oven
\nAnd in that place she fired
\nUp the dog completely
\nThe frustration and the fear
\nImagine that and it\u2019s prison
