Called out to a dog
\nRunning down a road
\nA little grey dog
\nOf no fixed abode
\nClearly was frighted
\nAnd hungry and lean
\nAnd it was hard to catch him
\nBecause at the scene
\nHe ran about wildly
\nWouldn\u2019t stay still
\nWith cars driving passed
\nAnyone might kill
\nOr injure a dog
\nSo we had to try
\nAnd two of us managed
\nWith a cage
\nWhich was why<\/p>\n
When we got to the vet
\nThe dog had calmed down
\nHad taken some treats
\nAnd reaching the town
\nAnd the clinic
\nThe vet
\nFound ticks everywhere
\nAnd anaplasmosis
\nWhere animals share
\nDisease with humans
\nSo he
\nhad to be treated
\nAnd was and was washed
\nRapidly<\/p>\n
After feeding recovered
\nand at foster home
\nHe is ever so friendly
\nWith the cats he does roam
\nClearly good natured
\nAnd wanting to be
\nIn a forever home
\nWhich we all want to see<\/p>\n
