It was April,
\nA brickworks
\nA production machine
\nTook the leg off a soul
\nA mother dog
\nWho had a role
\nIn nursing her three pups
\nAnd now what we saw
\nWas a three legged dog
\nStressed out for sure<\/p>\n
barking a lot
\nTrying to let
\nSomebody know
\nThat now her best bet.was to get help from someone
\nClearly she was
\nSuffering badly
\nReally because<\/p>\n
On three legs she couldn\u2019t walk
\nVery far
\nThey needed food
\nShe was no star
\nSo just went and barked
\nTelling people around
\nThat she was in need
\nAnd her puppies were found<\/p>\n
I accepted the challenge
\nand took them all back
\nIn my car to my house
\nThe dogs did attack
\nClearly all frightened
\nAll stressed out for sure
\nAnd ready to bite me
\nAnd offer a war<\/p>\n
So time was the essence
\nI fed them of course
\nAnd gave them fresh water
\nall this at the source
\nlots of TLC and a clean blanket to play
\nand they all got stronger
\nEvery day<\/p>\n
The puppies got bolder
\nAnd boisterous they
\nLiked it a lot when I went into play
\nThe mother was still very unsure
\nAnd aloof
\nBut let me play with her pups
\nIt\u2019s the truth<\/p>\n
The stress from her injury
\nMust have given her pain
\nand no one to care for her
\nSo she had lain
\nAlone with the injury
\nSuffering so
\nAnd now I am witH her
\nAnd She doesn\u2019t want to know<\/p>\n
Trust is the thing
\nAnd that all takes time
\nTill today she is cagey
\nStill whilst they climb
\nThe puppies all over me and love to play
\nThey have the exhuberance
