We heard a dog was ailing
\nIn a leafy suburb where
\nIn amongst the roses
\nClearly his despair
\nWas obvious when we saw him
\nQuietly lying there
\nClearly very uncomfortable
\nWe were so aware<\/p>\n
We brought a trap
\nand cushion and managed to get a lead
\nAround his neck and carried him
\nSo we could succeed
\nIn taking him to Dr Pedraza
\nThe veterinary
\nHope for paws our service
\nAnd now that is where we be<\/p>\n
After examination no fractures
\nBut alas
\nThere was internal bleeding
\nHis spleen damaged
\nAs crass
\n as ever someone clearly
\nHad kicked him very hard
\nAnd he was really suffering
\nClearly he was scarred
\nFor life and in so many ways
\nHuman beings they
\nAre unconscious to the damage
\nAnd the profound dismay<\/p>\n
