A meaningless existence
\nUncertainty and pain
\nOut there on the streets
\nFighting ones corner yet again
\nUp against the traffic
\nThe noise and people who
\nReally hAve no care atvall
\nFor anyone like you
\nRejected by society
\nSpurned by everyone
\nStuck out in the wind and rain
\nAnd mostly in the sun
\nLooking for the shady spots
\nA rubbish tip somewhere
\nOften where There is litter
\nAnd few around to cAre<\/p>\n
Flies and putrefaction
\nA malady or two
\nInfection and blood poisoning
\nIt\u2019s really what you do
\nDrinking stagnant water
\nEating mouldy food
\nBeing wholly septic
\nWhen a life gets crude<\/p>\n
And Leads on to infection
\nWhich is what happened to me
\nI am \u201c Muriel \u201c
\nmy face got swollen
\nMy hAir was tousled we
\nSuffer badly on the streets
\nAnd it; was good when I
\nWas rescued by the angels
\nWho realised just why
\nThey had to take me back to
\nThe hospital that day
\nMY face and neck were swollen
\nIt was paining me in a way
\nThat made my head throb loudly
\nThey were kind to me
\nWashed and cleaned my wounds and bandaged them
\nUp So beautifully<\/p>\n
Really gave me comfort love and lots of care
\nPatted me and fed me
\nI was glad I was there
\nbelly rubs and wow my tail was wagging
\nNight and day
\nReally I was happier
\nTo be there and to say <\/p>\n
