When we saw him he was
\n badly injured
\nA head wound really suffering
\nHe was
\nA tiny little soul
\nNot able to control
\nHis movements in much pain
\nAnd that\u2019s because
\nSomehow either a car
\nOr human being
\nHad beaten him
\nHe was the worse for wear
\nBut bravely standing up
\nTo the emotions
\nAnd happy really to find
\nSomeone to care<\/p>\n
Stray Paws
\nAt the veterinary
\nThe top part of his head
\nSliced away
\nTerribly infected with maggots
\nHe must have been in agony
\nAll day
\nSedated him
\nAnd cleaned his wounds
\nAnd thoroughly
\nLoved and cared and helped
\nHim battle through
\nTook all the dead materials
\nAll the maggots everything
\nAway
\nAnd dressed the gaping wound
\nAnd then each day
\nChanged the dressings
\nLoved him
\nAnd in two months
\nWe could see
\nAlthough he was still shocked and
\nQuite unsteady
\nWhat was key
\nWas he was moving better
\nWith his collar on of course
\nHe had a lot of spasms
\nBut \u201ctramp\u201d just seemed to force
\nHimself to live and better
\nHis life and day by day
\nHealing total healing
\nHas happened
\nIn a way<\/p>\n
He now is very perky
\nPlaying with his friends
\nHe loves his little basket
\nThat is where he ends
\n up
\nThat is his comfort place
\nSurely he will be
\nBetter for a forever home
\nFor his eternity<\/p>\n
Goodness knows what had happened to him
\nTo me it looked ominously like cruelty
\nAnd it\u2019s true cruel insensitive people
\nShould never have animals anywhere near them<\/p>\n
Neglecting a sick soul is a karmic debt
