Drenched in the street
\nPuddles for ones feet
\nUnder a car
\nOur little star
\n\u201cMay\u201d cast away
\nIn the squelch and the squash
\nLying in pain
\nCompletely awash<\/p>\n
When we found her
\nHer heart beating fast as could be
\nTimid and nervous
\nAll this we could see
\nAt the vets she was sickly
\nIn an incubator
\nTerribly cold
\nWaiting until later
\nWhen she got IV fluids
\nClearly in shock
\nHaving been left on her own
\nAfter getting the knock<\/p>\n
She was then taken home
\nAnd Was watched all that night
\nA vigil of love
\nFor A brave soul in flight
\nA fractured back left leg
\nAfter x rays we saw
\nNo wonder the shock
\nAnd The pain truly raw<\/p>\n
After the surgery
\nJust doing fine
\nEating well
\nA bit drowsy but
\nHer life on the line
\nClearly some joy coming back
\nIn her life
\nWith patience and love
\nAnd an end to the strife<\/p>\n
She is doing well
\nHas recovered <\/p>\n
