Deprivation
\nIt happens
\nAnd when it does
\nIt really gets to us
\nThat solace that buzz
\nIn our hearts
\nIn our souls
\nIn our head everywhere
\nWe love and we need and we still
\nWant to share<\/p>\n
They have gone
\nSo our vigil
\nIs just what we do
\nHow we feel
\nIt\u2019s not real
\nBut for us it was true<\/p>\n
And Cassandra felt this
\nShe just felt bereaved
\nDrained out of sight
\nAt least she believed
\nThis was the path
\nShe would follow today
\nAnd we saw her
\nAnd helped her
\nTo just get away<\/p>\n
It was by a large exit
\nWith trucks coming and going
\nbusy and dangerous
\nTooing and frowing
\nTwo of us called
\nThe pit bull was there
\nRunning about
\nThat he friend had died there.<\/p>\n
Clearly inner feelings
\nAnd who were we
\nSo growling a bit
\nMaking us see
\nWe tried to coax her
\nWith treats for a while
\nBut she wasn\u2019t having it
\nTo reconcile
\nWe got hold of a snare
\nBoth of us we
\nManaged to catch her
\nExcited was she<\/p>\n
We got out a blanket
\nCovered her care
\nComfort and talking
\nmaking her aware
\nWe were here to help her
\nNow back in the car
\nGoing off to the vet
\nWhich is not very far<\/p>\n
A therapeutic bath
\nAnd blow dry
\nA new friend
\nShe laid down and slept
\nWhere she lie<\/p>\n
