\nThe existential need
\nTo share the undying spirit
\nIn the countryside and feed

\nThat abounds in all our hearts
\nThe physical
\nThe tangible
\nHow the visionary imparts
\nSo much from the surroundings
\nBreathing in the air
\nRelaxing in the sparseness
\nAnd just feeling aware
\nOf nature of the wild birds

\nHearing the music underfoot

The countryside the fabric
\nOf life itself today
\nThe episodic wisdom
\nThe path along the way
\nThe gentleness of morning
\nThe variability
\nA mind of assimilation

\nIll opened and unhappy

The unpredictability
\nEnchantment had become
\nSomething completely different
\nShe was left just feeling numb
\nAggression replacing peace
\nAnd quiet
\nWhere there really was some
