He who pulls the trigger
\naims his sights and sees
\nan innocent just crumple up
\nor fall out of the trees
\nis clearly heartless
\nobviously, a frantic soul with in
\ncuriously devoid of love
\nand so mercilessly thin
\non truth
\nto set one’s target
\non the death
\nof a sweet soul
\nwho in fact has never
\nseen him
\nshows a complete lack of
\ncontrol
\nto gain pleasure and to measure
\nthe distance with the eye
\nand then to pull the trigger
\nand watch another die
\nshows a harshness and
\nunpleasantness
\non a downward scale
\na moral disillusionment with life
\nclearly the trail
\nrankles and so nauseates
\nonlookers who see
\nthe purity of nature
\nnow bleeding profusely
\nin the final throes of life
\naccorded no respect
\nundeniably, the agony
\na little, I detect
\nof remorse from this assassin
\nhis vileness I deplore
\nhe then reveals amusement
\nfrom what now lies before, him
\na wolf lies bleeding
\nturning the foot print red
\nthe trigger happy, high fives
\nwith his mates
\nand a vulgar thread
\nhe cuts
\nall craven hearted
\nstoop, chastened by it all
\nand where is the humility
\nas they watch the poor soul crawl
\nout of sight, its final moments
\nlost in abject fear
\nas another bullet misses
\nbut the third enters its ear
\nits eyes closed then forever
\nextinguished in a trice
\ncreation has lost one more soul
\non a bad throw of the dice
\npart time fathers
\nfull time killers
\ndegenerating, I
\nfeel now for all mothers
\nwho clearly have to lie
\nbeside these monsters
\nnightly, and as mothers
\nwonder why, their partners
\nare perverted to the extent
\nthat others die
\none asks the age old question
\nwhen will the partner turn
\nand take it out on the mother
