Absolute and enduring
\nA frantic mother cries
\nHeart breaking
\nHer calf in danger
\nUnderneath the skies
\nIn a swamp hole
\nMud and slush thorns and
\nDark despair
\nShe had
\nFallen and was dying
\nVery few aware
\nThe mother clearly beside herself
\nWhimpering Away
\nWe were called
\nAnd realised
\nWe needed to straight way
\nClimb down to the muddy soak
\nClearly danger was
\nImminent the calf was drowning
\nReally just because<\/p>\n
He was growing weaker
\nColder and afraid
\nHe knew his mother loved him
\nBut slowly he did fade
\nRemembering her mindful licks
\nHe never would again
\nExperience, his tears were falling
\nLike the morning rain<\/p>\n
we reached him in his mud hole
\nHis head was almost gone
\nPulled him weakened from the hole
\nHe was now upon
\nthe rope and rising quickly
\nTo the surface, we
\nCleaned him off wrapped him up
\nIn a blanket urgently<\/p>\n
Provided him with hot water bottles
\nHe was very cold
\nHis mother began licking him
\nJust trying to hold
\nHis breath, his life, his energy
\nShe gathered up her care
\nAnd together with IV fluids
\nAnd her love we all did share<\/p>\n
The baby was in massive shock
\nSuffering such pain
\nBut th e mothers eyes and the mothers love
\nBrought him back again
\nWe tended him we cared for him
\nWe loved him as our own
\nThe mother she was with him too
\nHis life she sure did own<\/p>\n
Just one calf we saved that day
\nWith millions probably
\nBeing murdered as useless
\nIn the dairies knowingly
\nAnd dairies really everywhere
\nWho callously display
\nHatred for all baby calves
\nWho are murdered everyday<\/p>\n
\u201cTinker\u201d felt the warm breath
\nof his mother
\n\u201cTinker\u201d was revived
\nand stands supreme
\nHe will never lose his right
\nto drink his mothers milk
\nHe is one sad calf
\nwho lives his dream<\/p>\n
Please reduce your dairy intake
