5000 years Up till today
\nIt has to be possible I have to say
\nMeasured in megalithic yards
\nAnd witnessed then by possibly bards
\nWho like me wrote down all that they saw
\nThe shimmering chalk rising from off the floor
\nInto the sky where cohesion was made
\nA meeting place where in essence they laid
\nA stepped pyramid loftily
\nA covered mound that now just stands free
\nJust South of Avebury and what we see
\nAnd feel in our hearts the integrity<\/p>\n
The fullness clearly that\u2019s brought to bear
\nWho knows how many have put it there
\nSymmetrical such harmony
\nSystematic clarity
\nCountless numbers worked the hill
\nBeyond our comprehension still
\nLasting age long ever green
\nImmortality has been
\nPerpetual everlastingly
\nit rose and became the enduring scene<\/p>\n
That we see today through
\nthe mists of time
\nAntiquity itself did climb
\nAs earthworks go perpetuity
\nRegards the miracle we see
\nAn enlightened age
\nAn maturity
\nAn auspicious opportunity
\nAn unfailing continuity
\nA predominance and a potency
\nA vantage ground
\nFrom which to see
\nThe energy from the stars at night
\nMuch closer to the moons bright light
\nA compelling mesmeric momentous place
\nWhere the ancients all came face to face<\/p>\n
With the godly few with the higher race
\nAble to breathe from an infinite space
\nOver the moorland the hinterland where
\nEnemies gathered wanting to share
\nThe expansive vision
\nStretching away
\nTo the far distance
\nMaking their play
\nA purposeful sign
\nZeroing in on a
\ntruer perspective
