Every child who has ever fed the ducks

Huge great sheds of water birds
\nNo water to be found
\nThese souls are designated to be slaughtered
\nThey are bound
\nFor Peking duck and take away and supermarkets who
\nAll now sell the oven ready ducks
\nTo all of you
\nImagine for a moment
\nWater birds they should
\nBe swimming in the water
\nTheir webbed feet say they could
\nBut the corporate entrepreneurs
\nDecided what they do
\nIs crowd great armies of them into sheds
\nPrepared for you
\nIt\u2019s all for you consumers
\nWho pay their profit, you
\nWho walk into the market place
\nThe pristine packs on view
\nYou didn\u2019t see the factory
\nThe farm the slaughter shed
\nAll you see is the pristine packs

\nRespect of life the gift creation
\nThe miracle that be

\nThese ducks were individuals
\nEach one a beating heart
\nAll this centralisation
\nConsistency from the start
\nThey are on the treadmill
\nRobotic that\u2019s their lot
\nAutomatons who will never swim
\nUntil they reach the pot<\/p>\n
Reality appears to me
\nTheir lives are inferiority
\nTotal discrimination
\nThe factory decides
\nDucks don\u2019t live in water
\nThat disconnection hides
\nThe fact that we are arrogant
\nIgnorant and worse
\nIt\u2019s all to do with money
\nIn fact we are a curse
\nOn the trade in animals
\nThe market sets the scene
\nWe advertise and profit
\nThe commodity is lean
\nUnnatural in the scheme of things
