It happened in Portland

\nA blue gum plantation
\nIt\u2019s where
\nKoala\u2019s so many were killed
\nIn the fires
\nAt the height of such
\nAwful despair
\nThe world has been shocked
\nBy the carnage
\nThese iconic animals they
\nGifted by all of creation
\nAnd so disrespected

Logging the blue gum
\nMakes money
\nAnd these logging companies they
\nAre governed by the Department of Land
\nWater and Planning they say
\nBut someone with stony indifference
\nAnd total irreverence for
\nThe beautiful animals
\nAll the survivors
\nThe disbelief that there is more<\/p>\n
Impassive insensibility
\nWhere loggers continue to be
\nShowing the worst of intentions
\nMerciless barbarity
\nBulldozers have to be driven
\nBy humans and presumably they
\nGot in their cabs knowing there were survivors
\nAnd proceeded to blow them away<\/p>\n
Such destructive and callous criminals
\nMothers and babies in trees
\nThis is an outrage it is mass murder
\nSpiteful and vicious to breeze
\nThrough the trees knowing KOALAS were sitting
\nCold hearted sadistic vandals
\ninvestigations must be
\nANDY MEDDICK must get on the case right away
\nFor these ruffians shouldn\u2019t be free<\/p>\n
They need locking up for its evil
\nWrongheaded dishonesty
\nYou can\u2019t make mistakes of this nature
\nAnd think you will get off Scott free
\nThe company needs to be shut down
\nAnd the newspapers told everywhere
\nThe operatives clearly are wicked
\nEveryone should be aware
\nSeeing the surviving victims
