A street dog with a problem
\nScorching in the sun
\nMange had taken over
\nIt clearly was no fun
\nWith So much irritation
\nInflamed with lots of sores
\nstreet life did exacerbate
\nThe condition in the wars
\nWe were called to see her
\nAnd fed her and we saw
\nThat she was so in need of care
\nJust lying on the floor
\nPicked her up
\nAnd brought her to hospital
\nWhere we
\nexamined her and treated her
\nHelping her to free<\/p>\n
Herself from mange
\nHer skin in fact was eaten up and gone
\nIt just all felt like gravel
\nSuch aggravation on
\nHer system so we gave her lots
\nOf
\nMedicated baths
\nAnd all the while we loved her
\nTook her to new paths
\nOf care and love and nurture
\nShe had missed all that
\nWe all called her \u201cshimmer\u201d
\nFor the light within her
\nWhere she was at
\nIn a few days she perked up
\nAnd the mange began to heal
\nAnd her skin was black like ebony
\nWhich then did reveal<\/p>\n
How \u201cshimmer\u201d was a great name
\nFor she ran about at will
\nWagged her tail loved cuddles
\nAnd clearly enjoyed the thrill
\nOf being free of the mange
\nAnd all the stresses of the street
\nShe really is a handsome dog
\nWho is gentle and discreet<\/p>\n
