She\u2019d been in this pound a lifetime
\nFor some reason no one cared
\nA bit excitable and skittish
\nClearly hadn\u2019t fared
\nAll that well alone in there
\nWith nobody to care
\nJust Treated like a number
\nAlthough very aware
\nSeemingly was suffering
\nClearly she had flea\u2019s
\nA lot of irritation
\nAnd everyone agrees
\nNeglected nails all far too long
\nShe needed love And care
\nAnd so we took her over
\nher life in fact to share<\/p>\n
A border collie cross she was
\nShe seemed relaxed to be
\nQuite upright in her stature
\nAnd, eager to see
\nThe outside world
\nThough walking on a leash
\nApparently
\nShe hadn\u2019t done that
\nbut soon learned
\nWhen she came along with me<\/p>\n
She had an examination
\nA medicated bath
\nWas de wormed and all her bloods were checked
\nWe follow the same path
\nClipped her nails all far too long
\nNeglected so to say
\nA few hours treatment at the vet
\nWhich kind of made her day<\/p>\n
She really looked like a different dog
\nHer stature really bright
\nNothing very much wrong with her
\nJust fearful she was right
\nOut there when we went down to the river
\nAnd she sat
\nIn the sunshine for a while
\nKnowing where she was at<\/p>\n
Bella she was obedient
\nGood natured and found joy
\nContent to watch the world go by
\nNothing did annoy
\nHer she watched the ducks
\nDown by the river swim and play
\nAnd slept peacefully upon my lap
\nLater in the day.<\/p>\n
So now we hope to find her
\nAn adoptive family who
\nWill offer her a forever home
\nIt\u2019s what we like to do
\nShe is smart and so responsive
\nTo a bit of love and care
\nSomething she\u2019s been short of
\nWhilst she was housed there<\/p>\n
But now already she is quite diFferent
\nNow with us
\nMore animals around to see
\nAnd people do not cuss
\nOr get angry around animals
\nIn pounds of course they do
\nAnd it clearly riles some animals
\nThat much we know is true<\/p>\n
BELLA is waiting for a new family
