I was brought into a city pound
\nTriviality
\nA life not worth considering
\nUneventful seemingly
\nVery emaciated
\nNo love around you see
\nSkin and fur in a matted state
\nOf neglect, a travesty
\nWhoever had been helping
\nHad an inability
\nAnd were totally ineffective
\nOf what they did for me
\nThey were just not interested
\nAnd I went down hill fast
\nD\u00e9mod\u00e9x was at my throat
\nTheir bloody die was cast
\nThe mites and the infection
\nTook hold and you could see
\nClumps of hair were falling out
\nSo much misery
\nMy immunity was shot away
\nInfections everywhere
\nAnemia and being so unloved
\nSo much despair<\/p>\n
It is hard to recover
\nWhen you are all alone
\nAnd in the street so many chase
\nYou off and clearly moan
\nThey tell you you are a nuisance
\nAnd you had best ran away
\nThe fear builds up inside of you
\nEvery single day
\nYou bolt you food
\nEars pricked up expecting
\nSomeone coming an electing
\nTo scream at you that\u2019s what goes on
\nAnd you know you had best be gone
\nHowl of a dog their angels
\nHelped me overcome
\nReally helped me emotionally
\nHelping to give me some
\nConfidence I didn\u2019t wag my tail
\nOnce, it,
\nWas fixed, and I
\nWanted really just to join
\nThe angels in the sky
\nBut gradually they helped me
\nFed me gave me hope
\nLoved me made me feel their love
\nHelping me to cope
\nBy Day 10 rubbing my belly
\nNo one had before
\nThey wouldn\u2019t even touch me
\nNot even my paw<\/p>\n
By Day 21 I was wagging
\nAnd, playing in the snow
\nAll that white stuff falling from the sky
\nGave me a glow
\nBy Day 45 I was playing.with Harper & Bandit, they
\nWe ran about like crazy
\nAlmost every day<\/p>\n
And then they came and told me
\nThat I was going away
\nThey had heard of a forever home
\nIn Germany where I could forever play
\nThey would come and say goodbye
\nIn the car with me
\nBut I was going somewhere new
\nWhere I would love to be<\/p>\n
A family who would love me
\nYes all that way away
\nAnd I am living with them now
