I Was little
\nI was a senior
\nWith a tumour on my head
\nIt affected the way I saw things
\nAnd, what people said
\nPeople give you weird looks
\nWhich brought on some despair
\nAnd then of course
\nMy lifetime people
\nDumped me any where<\/p>\n
In a high kill shelter
\nDidn\u2019t care for me
\nI know I looked ugly
\nAnd I was smelly<\/p>\n
Love is hard to come by
\nWhen your old
\nand crippled by
\nSomething
\npeople get embarrassed about
\nAnd they left me high and dry.<\/p>\n
It really did my head in
\nMy confidence was low
\nI thought of myself as ugly
\nAnd a nuisance which I know<\/p>\n
Over night no home for me
\nNow what would I do
\nSomeone said they would help me
\nA doctor would come through<\/p>\n
ANIMAL Rescue Dogs
\nthe name
\nTook me out of harm
\nTold me I was beautiful
\nTold me to be calm<\/p>\n
I knew that I was smelly
\nI knew nobody cared
\nLook I was dumped like rubbish
\nMy life might not be spared<\/p>\n
My guardians didn\u2019t want me
\nI was left to be
\nMurdered in some shelter
\nThe rainbow bridge for me<\/p>\n
I remember the whites of my eyes
\nrising everyday
\nI was inconsolable in every flipping way
\nThe doctor now was telling me
\nI was beautiful soul
\nIt\u2019s true that I was smelly
\nBut no matter now my role<\/p>\n
Was to be looked after
\nAnd she was going to try
\nI would have to be very brave
\nIt\u2019s possible I might die<\/p>\n
But she was going to help me.
\nshe was going to try
\nShe was going to remove that ghastly lump
\nAbove my eye<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t going to be easy
\nBut she was going to make
\narrangements and then operate
\nAnd the tumour she would take<\/p>\n
I had x rays
\nAnd for five whole hours
\nWas in theatre where I
\nWas undergoing surgery
\nWhere Angels from the sky<\/p>\n
Had come down from the rainbow bridge
\nand were making sure that I
\nGot through the surgery safely
\nWith a twinkle in my eye<\/p>\n
When I woke up and I did wake up
\nThere was love and care
\nDR TINA stayed with me
\nAll night
\nHer love did share<\/p>\n
I heard her calming words to me
\nMax love I love you
\nNo one had ever said that
\nBefore to me it\u2019s true<\/p>\n
I was always ugly
\nNo one ever fancied me
\nFriends I never had them
\nPeople just would see<\/p>\n
Me as old and weary
\nA nuisance can I say
\nLove why would they love
\nAn ugly blighter anyway<\/p>\n
And when this tumour surfaced
\nMy luck of course ran out
\nThe shelter was my last resort
\nAnd I had all the doubt
\nIn the world
\nThat was until
\nANIMAL RESCUE came
\nThe angels from the rainbow bridge
\nYes the very same<\/p>\n
They told some of their valued friends
\nAbout me and they found
\nPeople willing to help me live
\nMy feet just touched the ground
\nThe surgery was expensive
\nBut charity and care
\nSomehow fell upon me
\nAnd I became Aware<\/p>\n
How DR TINA loved me
\nBy big eyes and my age
\nShe was very caring
\nShe loved me off the page<\/p>\n
NOw of course I am naked
\nAll my hair is gone
\nI am even less attractive
\nThis world that I am upon<\/p>\n
Views it\u2019s souls as handsome
\nAs youthful or as cool
\nWhen I was just an old senior
\nJust a poor old fool<\/p>\n
But care and love and angels came
\nAnd I was saved today
\nThey took my stitches
\nOut and a broken tooth they say<\/p>\n
Yes I am old and weak
\nBut someone seemingly
\nFound the time and money
\nTo help me, help me be
\nAble to live a few more months
\nIn happiness and light
\nI have to thank
\nthe many
\nWho were there for me that night<\/p>\n
