\nCruelty is rife
\nLong Tailed Macaques
\nAre captured close to cities
\nand treated to a life
\nOf awful strife
\nTheir suffering
\nIn the extreme
\nIs every single day
\nChained up on short cutting chains
\nThat drive all joy away
\nStaring eyes and gaping sores
\nand angst beyond belief
\nStolen from their families
\nAnd given so much grief
\nMade to perform like marionettes
\nDressed up and in pain
\nOr sold to tourists
\nFor a pittance
\nHanging on a chain<\/p>\n
As babies they look very cute
\nBut as they grow they will
\nBecome ultra aggressive
\nAnd blood they are going to spill
\nThey are always wild so actually
\nselling them as pets
\nIn cruelty personified
\nBecause ofcourse it lets
\nPeople think the opposite
\nAnd when things do go wrong
\nAnd perhaps a child is injured
\nBecause the ape got strong
\nand really caused some injuries
\nThen poor judgement will
\nMake for a realisation
\nfor the monkey it could kill<\/p>\n
The Balinese should realise
\nIt doesn\u2019t do them good
\nTo capture these wild monkeys
\nReally now they should
\nLeave them in the wild
\nTo be themselves which would make more sense
\nBut trying to earn some money
\nReally is no defence
\nThey live a life of squalor
\nSuffering every day
\nSo much desolation
\nThey are not allowed to play
\nChained up on short chains
\nThat scuff their throats and make them sore
\nAnd with the soreness comes frustration
\nReally more and more<\/p>\n
anger and emotion stress it really does
\nGet into their psyche they don\u2019t get a buzz
\nFrom being trained to act out a sort of puppet show
\nDressed up in clothes, and beaten
\nMaking walking slow
\nPained and humiliated
\nInsulted the affront
\nOf being made to knuckle down
\nLearning to do some stunt
\nLike doing the splits
\nOr riding a bike
\nIt\u2019s alien to see
\nWe sacrifice each moment
\nAnd they never will be free
\nFrom harshness and from harassment
\nCondemned to living through
\nA concentration camp existence
\nWhich just will never do<\/p>\n
Their faces aRe disgruntled
\nProtesting all they can
\nSo much exasperation
\nWhere does it all pan
\nOut a life of boredom
\nOf aggravation too
\nDefeated by the wretchedness
\nThat just comes
\nPoking through
\nTheir blubbering is obvious
\nTears roll everyday
\nThe boredom it is evident
\nIt\u2019s dullness all can say
\nHumdrum And suburban
\nUninspired they be
\nNo forest or social order
